Chandrika Shrobe's diverse life influences — born into the New York Yoga Sangha (community) in the 70's, Zen Buddhism, Judaism, and African-American culture— have all shaped her creative vision in her one-of-a-kind jewelry designs. Each original piece is hand-crafted by the artist and features semi-precious stones and pendants culled from Africa, India, Asia, and the Americas.
Chandrika's necklaces have been described as "funky and stylish with a precious quality" and have been featured in InStyle magazine, Metropolitan Home, Britain's Untold magazine, and on CNN Headline News, and the Grammy Awards.
Chandrika is the daughter of Zen Master Wu Kwang and family therapist Brenda Shrobe. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughters. Chandrika has studied at The Fashion Institute of Technology and New York University.
